British Antarctic Survey at the Grand Arcade, Cambridge

On 26 July from 9am-5pm, join the team from British Antarctic Survey (BAS) at the Grand Arcade shopping centre in Cambridge for the brilliant opportunity to explore polar science close to home. This FREE event will showcase some of the work conducted at BAS, including Antarctic research, providing the opportunity to get up close to our exhibition kit.

This event is in collaboration with the Grand Arcade – Grand Discoveries

From budding science enthusiasts, to those that are simply just curious about what goes on at BAS and in Antarctica, this event will offer something for everyone.

This is your opportunity to:

  • Find out more about the research and operations that the UK does in Antarctica
  • Speak directly with BAS scientists about their groundbreaking work and discoveries in one of Earth’s most extreme environments
  • Explore hands-on exhibits highlighting British Antarctic Survey’s groundbreaking polar research
